Molly Muecke RN, MSN, NP-C

Molly is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner from Knoxville, TN. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee graduating summa cum laude. She continued her education obtaining her Masters of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University and noted top five percent of her class. While in Cleveland she trained under a Cleveland Clinic dermatologist furthering her knowledge of aesthetic and medical Dermatology. Once completing her graduate education, Molly accepted a Vanderbilt Medical School faculty position practicing in orthopaedic spine surgery for Vanderbilt Medical Center. She then transitioned her practice to aesthetic dermatology in Nashville and Knoxville, TN. Molly has an eye for detail and believes in the art of aging gracefully through scientifically proven surgical and aesthetic procedures. Her work is well known to the most discerning patients in both the music and entertainment industries. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, cooking, and spending time with family.

Kirk Bass MD

Dr. James Kirk Bass serves as the medical director of Astra Aesthetics in Maryville, TN. Dr. Bass is a compassionate physician with an extensive background in personalized patient care. After earning his Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of South Carolina, Dr. Bass went on to attend medical school at the same institution. He completed his Doctor of Medicine, also with honors, at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Bass then completed his residency program at the East Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. To further his expertise, Dr. Bass completed fellowship training in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. Early on in his career, Dr. Bass served as a medical missionary in Brazil, Uganda, Namibia, and Malaysia teaching caregivers how to resuscitate babies that can’t breathe at birth. Dr. Bass loves children and truly enjoys caring for others. Dr. Bass believes that “it’s what you give of yourself to others that makes you beautiful.” His younger sister Melanie is his role model and hero. She passed away from breast cancer at age 39. Melanie was compassionate and kind. She found joy in every moment. Melanie was the epitome of beauty because she sincerely strived to make everyone feel loved. Her warmth and kindness inspire Dr. Bass to serve others with compassion every day. A phrase from John Keats fittingly frames his remembrance of Melanie, “a thing of beauty is a joy forever.” Ultimately, Dr. Bass and his family put their roots down in Knoxville, Tennessee, which they call home. Dr. Bass and Shairee, his wife of more than 28 years, loved raising their four children in East Tennessee. In his free time, Dr. Bass enjoys running, gardening, eating and spending time with his family
